  • Learning Center – an alternative educational opportunity for youth, grades 5-12. This school is part of the Virtual Community School of Ohio system.
  • New Beginnings – food, toiletries, and clothing donations are given to the shelter for victims of domestic violence.
  • Licking County Food Pantry Network – cash and food donations are given to a cooperative that was established in 1981 to coordinate the distribution of emergency food supplies.
  • CROP Walk – members participate by walking and contributing to raise money for awareness of local and global hunger. The walk is held the third Sunday in October. Twenty-five percent of the money raised stays in Licking County.
  • Lutheran World Relief – comforters made by members of our sewing group are collected and sent to all parts of the world to people in need.
  • Coalition of Care – we support this faith-based emergency assistance organization dedicated to reducing the effects of poverty throughout Licking County, Ohio. The Coalition helps with payments for rent, shelter and utilities and can help with necessary medical costs or transportation expenses to a new job or medical appointment.
  • Operation Christmas Child – children who are hurting around the globe are given hope with shoeboxes filled with school supplies, toys, and personal care items. These boxes help introduce the children to Jesus Christ.
  • Four Church Farm – seventeen acres of recreational land located in Flint Ridge hills, the southern part of Licking County. Four Lutheran congregations in Newark jointly own the farm. This land was given by Judge Virginia Weiss as a memorial to her parents, Samuel and Delia Weiss, with the express wish that the land by used by the people of the congregations “to commune with nature and with God”.
  • Women with Red Eye – a project of the Evangelical Lutheran Church Women to collect money for treatment of Tanzanian women whose eyes get red from cooking over open fires.
  • Jail Mininstry – part of our local benevolence is given to the Licking County Jail Ministry.
